BACK TO SCHOOL BLAST
The school supplies shipped out June 15,
2002.
We collected:
12 rulers
1 compass
4 protractors
6 squares
23 notebooks
9 doodle pads
16 boxes of crayons
6 boxes of markers
3 packages pencil top erasers
14 packages of pencils
2 packages colored pencils
5 packages of pens
2 packages colored chalk
4 packages white chalk
6 paint sets
3 packages reward stickers
1 package clothe wipes
1 supply case
13 glue sticks
14 scissors
10 pencil sharpeners
15 rolls of scotch tape
Of course, we included all the wonderful
pictures of the children in with the shipment.
We had $27 left from our last party. We
collected $74 for a total of $101. We shipped out one very heavy
box. It weighed in at 50 lbs. and cost $74.75 to ship. Leaving us with $27
towards our next party.
It will take about 8 weeks for the package
to arrive....so it should get there right in time for school to start.
BLANKET BONANZA
The blankets were shipped out
March 16, 2001
We collected exactly 100
blankets!!
There were 3 twin size blankets, 48 crib size blankets and 49 receiving
blankets. Many styles and colors, all were beautiful and some even hand made!!
We collected an amazing $158
for shipping!! The shipping costs were as follows:
2 large boxes shipped at
$45.85 each, 1 medium box shipped at $40.00 for a total of $131.70. We
have $27.00 left to put toward shipping on our next party.

just completely REFUSED to move!!! The kids even tried to drag her
away...no dice. I guess she figures at 12 years old, she has the right to
be old and stubborn!
HOLIDAY/CHINESE NEW YEAR PARTY

We collected various items,
numerous amounts of each item:

Tons of Crayons

Hair accessories and dress up toys, bracelets
Barrels of Monkeys

Numerous small stuffed animals
Small dolls and Barbie dolls
McDonalds toys in packages
Jump Ropes
Small balls

Clothing
Small baby toys (teething rings, stacking cups etc.)
Plastic toy animals
Blocks
Small games
Slinkys
Stacking rings and larger baby toys
Small toys
and more... there was just too many items to list them all individually.
We collected $62 toward
shipping.
We had $10 left from our last
party. Total of $72.
The toys filled two large
boxes. Which weighed about 36 lbs. and 28 lbs. The costs to ship the
two boxes were $56.05 & 48.15 for a total of $104.40 for shipping costs.
SHOE BE DO BE SOCIAL
The shoes shipped out October 27, 2001
We collected exactly 80 pairs of shoes (and
one pair of socks)
The shoes were everything from booties,
slippers, sandals, snow boots, sneakers, dress shoes, work boots etc.
We covered every size from infants up to
adult size 4. There were both girl and boy shoes included.
We collected $77 toward shipping.
We had $32.86 left from our last party. Total
of $109.36.
The shoes filled two large boxes which both
weighed in around 25 lbs. each. The costs to ship the two boxes were $51.60
& $48.15 for a total of $99.75 shipping cost.
We had $10 left toward the next shipment.
TOILETRIES TOGA
The toiletries shipped out on
August 11, 2001
We collected:
18 boxes of band aids
2 bottles of hand sanitizer
26 tubes of toothpaste
8 bottles of shampoo & babywash
6 bottles of baby lotion
12 diaper creams
3 baby orajels
58 wash clothes
2 hooded towels
2 comb & brush sets
5 nail clippers/scissors
1 dental floss
1 character bath scrubby
5 boxes of tissues
13 packages of elastics/hair accessories
2 bags of cotton balls
2 packages of cotton swabs
25 bars of soap
108 toothbrushes

We had $27.53 left from the Sock Hop
We collected $139 toward the Toiletries
Which equals $166.53 total
$10.07 for box and more tape
We shipped out 2 packages 20 lbs.($47) and 25 lbs.($51.60)
Total shipping charge was $98.60
Leaving us with $57.86
I wrote out a check to FCCNY for
Tongling/Hannah & Keysha Fund (with a note stating this was from The
Families With Children From Tongling)
For $25.00
Leaving us with $32.86 toward the next
contribution party.
Our first contribution
party was
A SOCK HOP!!!
We collected 239 pairs of
socks. Sizes from tiny newborns up to teenagers. Boy socks and girl
socks and all the colors of the rainbow.
The socks were shipped out on
June 9, 2001.
We collected $111.00 toward
shipping.
$10.27 was used toward boxes
and tape.
The socks weighed in at 12
lbs. The shipping cost was 73.20.
Total money spent was $83.47.
Leaving us with $27.53 toward
our next contribution party.
