Will my toddler be potty trained?

She was not potty trained at 25 mos but was potty trained within 4 mos after we returned.

Although she was 10 months, she did not appear to be familiar with potty training at all.  She was wearing a disposable diaper with a fabric insert.

My daughter was not potty trained, but she was only 8 1/2 months!

My daughter was 33 months old when adopted.  I was told that Mia was potty trained.  I choose to put a pull up on her while we were in China.  I figured she was stressed out enough, I didn't want her worrying about toileting.  She "went" in her pull up more than she went in the toilet.  After we arrived home, she would ALWAYS poop in the toilet.  After about 2 months of being home, Mia regressed and only went (both poop and pee) in the pull up.  This lasted for about a month.  Then I took out the cloth training pants.  Mia always uses the toilet now (she's been home 6 months) but she still uses pull ups for her nap and night time sleeping.  She is dry 75 percent of the time for napping.  She is dry maybe once a week for night time sleeping.  She is now 3 yrs. 3 months old.

Olivia was 14 months and was not potty trained.

No, our child was not potty trained, however she was only 15 months old when we got her.

Lydia was 20 months old at adoption and was supposed to be potty trained. We chose not to get Chinese potty and continue her training.  We figured that the stress that we would all be under with unknown schedules and emotional upset would make it difficult.  I also think that there was a regression to infancy at times during our bonding process and decided not to fight it. When we returned, we had Chinese visitors who all seemed surprised that I had her in diapers at this age.  She stayed in diapers and then pull ups until around 26 months and stayed in them at night only for another 6 months.  I know several people who were told to hold the baby over the tub or potty and make a water sound to activate their response. Apparently this was how it was done with their children in the orphanages. It didn't seem to work with Lydia.  In any case, she was potty trained before any of the other children in her preschool.  It didn't seem as though she was in diapers long at all.

Our baby wasn't potty trained.  Our friend's baby (not from Tongling) who was a year old was potty trained. The orphanage staff told her to set her on the toilet between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. and sure enough, she did her thing. We were shocked!

Tori at age 25 months wasn't potty trained. They said she understood when asked, but it was very cold and had just begun to warm up, so they hadn't really worked on it.

Amy was not potty trained but she was only 5 months old when we adopted her on 6/24/96.

My daughter was 18 months old when I got her and not toilet trained. She will be 4 in July, and has been completely accident free only for the past 2 months!

Bethany was 10 months old when we met her, and she was not potty trained. She did have scars on both of her knees, which the pediatrician thought might have been from being strapped down, either for potty training or to keep her from moving around in the crib. (They are hardly noticeable any more!)

At 14 months, Amanda was not potty-trained.
